MEET YOUR HOST
Hi, I’m Bryson! I’m on a mission to make content-specific professional development accessible to music educators everywhere. As a former PreK-6th grade general music teacher turned full-time instructional coach, I know firsthand how challenging it can be to find your footing in the classroom, especially when you realize that undergrad didn’t cover everything you need to succeed. That’s why I created the Elementary Music Summit®—a space where we can come together to gain practical skills, share ideas, and build a supportive community.
With a Bachelor’s in Music Education from Ohio Wesleyan University and a Master’s in Music Education with a Kodály emphasis from Capital University, I bring both formal training and real-world experience to this event. During my time in the classroom and as part of an intervention team, I developed a deep commitment to creating inclusive, sensory-friendly, and engaging learning environments. Now, through That Music Teacher, LLC, I’m thrilled to support other educators in making a lasting impact in their classrooms. Let’s learn and grow together!
The Details
When
The Elementary Music Summit®: January Refresh will be held January 25th-26th, 2025.
Where
I don't know about you, but my favorite types of PD are those that can be done anywhere. With that being said, you can tune into the summit from anywhere with internet access.
(Did somebody say PD fireside?)
Presentations
Presentations will be 30 minutes in length and will be pre-recorded for added accessibility across time zones. We'll also be broadcasting them live so we can emulate the in-person conference experience!
PARTY IT UP
You'll also have access to a private community for the summit where we'll be partying it up before the summit starts and cheering each other on once it kicks off.
Prizes
As an attendee, you'll have the chance to win prizes based on engagement and giveaways.
The All-access pass
After registering, you can also upgrade to gain access to the All-Access Pass. That means you'll get ongoing access to the presentations and so many other amazing resources to help you in the classroom. You won't want to miss it!
It’s easy to feel forgotten about as an elementary music teacher.
We're on a mission to make sure you don't get lost on 'music teacher island.'
The professional development our schools provide us are rarely helpful in our day-to-day lives in the classrooms.
Even at music-specific conferences the elementary teachers often get the short end of the stick. We're often left on our own to try to piece together advice that really wasn't meant for us, to make it work for our classrooms. And figuring that out all on our own is a lot on top of our already too-full plates.
That's why we created the Elementary Music Summit®: January Refresh - to bring you the tools, resources, and training created specifically for you as an elementary music teacher.
Join us to learn and connect with a network of fellow music educators at the Elementary Music Summit®: January Refresh.
During the Elementary Music Summit® You'll Learn:
Time-saving strategies to help you use your time more productively.
Practical ways to ensure that all of your students are reaching their full potential.
How to balance #AllTheThings and getting everything done without dropping any balls.
And so much more!
It's time to increase your impact in the elementary music classroom.
(Without adding more to your already too-full plate)
IT’S TIME TO…
-Refresh your confidence and bring renewed energy to your elementary music career.
-Start building a classroom where every student can thrive—no matter their learning needs.
-Finally find the balance to enjoy being an elementary music teacher while preserving your personal time and well-being.
Let's Jumpstart the new year together!
